- Hello, my name is James Davis and I am the creator of the 50 Filter. I have been a Mechanical Contractor (H.V.A.C.R.) for the past 26 years and for all of my life a car enthusiast. My personal ride is a 1988 5.0 Mustang. When I started a major restoration on my Mustang I removed the AC/Heater case assembly. When I removed the evaporator coil it was dirty and had a lot of leafs and debris in it and I replaced it only 14 months ago! The heater core wasn’t as bad but it still had a lot of finer particulate in it. I needed to order a cabin filter. When I called the Ford dealership to order one they said that some of the 2005 and up vehicles have a cabin filter but previous to that Ford did not use them. I looked to the aftermarket to try and find one with no luck. Can you guess the rest? That’s when I came up with the 50 Filter.
