- The entire idea behind 490 Skateboards can be found in our name. We use 490 because of a passage in the Bible where we find Jesus teaching one of his desiciples, Peter, a lesson on forgiveness. In Matthew 18:21 we see Peter ask if he is to forgive a person 7 times. To this question Jesus replies that he is to for give 7 X 70. This is a traditional Jewish way of saying you never stop forgiving someone who has mistreated you.
