- Rick Davis was a military child born in Germany. His family moved several times before his Dad was transferred to Sacramento, California. Rick attended schools in Sacramento and wrote the story for his book in 1976 while attending Foothill High School. He was encouraged by his English teacher to submit the story to a publisher but he chose to wait. Over the years the original story was rewritten many times. When Rick became a father he spent many hours reading and telling stories to his daughters, and with their enthusiastic support, decided to finally publish the book. Rick lives in Sacramento, California with his wife, Tara and their two daughters, Danielle and Brittney. Rick is presently editing another book, "The Adventures of Silvio the Seagull", for future publication.
