- The home page of the recreated 28th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, a New England-based Civil War living history organization founded in 1984 to portray the fighting men of the Irish Brigade's famous "Faugh a Ballagh" regiment. We portray a battle-tested, veteran unit as it appeared during the Gettysburg campaign of summer 1863.
