Within a couple of months this forum became a regular meeting place for film enthusiasts, critics, academics and creative minds around the world. Through often-heated discussion, they argued about the status quo of criticism, reconsidered the underdogs of film culture and, in the process, crystallized their own idiosyncratic views of the medium.
