18TH CENTURY TAPESTRIES was started by its current owner Danney Zhao in the early 1990’s. This was the period of time when French Savonnerie Weaving techniques began arriving in China. In addition to producing authentic Savonnerie weave rugs, Danney also focuses on producing authentic Aubusson weave rugs, handmade tapestries and luxury accessories for the home. When Danney finished college he went to work for the largest rug exporter in China.
