sCa75.org is a Collection of Personal Memories by SCAns

Welcome to a special website created just for us, alumni of Student Catholic Action!

This year 2011 we celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Student Catholic Action. Since so many of us alumni are now scattered all over the global village, we have created a website that we can all access, from the comfort of our homes.

Though we will maintain this website for one entire year, from 1 August 2011 to 1 August 2012, we invite you to visit it and tell friends to visit it as well.

As you will discover for yourselves, all of the memories shared on the website are from SCA alumni who were active in The Army of Youth during the 1950s and 1960s. So you are likely to have several friends and many acquaintances among the contributors, and welcome news about them.

After a relatively long hiatus, SCA has undergone a revival, largely owing to the initiative of Teresita “Titatet” Nitorreda, whom many of us still remember. For the past decade, she has been leading a new and young generation of SCAns. If you wish to have an update re the SCA of today, please visit their website: www.scaphilippines.com. There you will also read an account of and view photographs of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations last April.

We regret that we cannot offer an interactive website. You can, however, share this site on Facebook or follow our Twitter account so that you can contact fellow SCAns. For those of us who remain uncomfortable with computers and prefer the comfortable feel of a handheld book, here is good news!

We will also launch a published version of this website, containing all its contents, including photos. The published edition is a generous gift from Esther Vibal of Vibal Publishing, who is offering it to Student Catholic Action on the occasion of its Diamond Jubilee.

In the meantime, enjoy this electronic edition!
