The Christian Church was started by Jesus Christ in AD 33 and you can read about it, along with the first Christian sermon ever preached, in the second chapter of Acts. This PARTICULAR congregation isn’t quite that old, however! In 1978, a small group of Christians met in a private home in Burgess and decided to form what became the Rappahannock Church of Christ. A week later, they sat on boards propped on cinderblocks, trusting God for what was to come.
