On the recent occasion of my oldest son's 18th birthday I found myself contemplating ways to inspire him to do even greater things for God and to finish what he started more than three years ago in becoming a sold-out disciple of Jesus Christ., Last summer, I joined 15 disciples from the South Florida Church for a Member Missionary trip to Port-au- Prince, Haiti. Some have said, “I see how things are on TV. I’ll pray about it.” Going to a third world country is very different than watching the evening news., {mosimage}Heather Barrow, a senior in High School, was baptized on Saturday, October 13 at the church building. Both her parents as well as Paige Parnell and Ondrija Phelps baptized her. Her brother Trenton is also a disciple. Her parents, Nina and Chris, have served in the Youth Ministry for about two years. {mosimage}On October 1, Rocio Rivero was baptized into Christ in the West Dade region. She studied the bible with Marlene Parker and Rosita Padron. Stan & Vayola Lindor were baptized last week into Christ. They are a part of the Herron Fellowship group in the Broward Region.
