Sierra Scott is a television news anchor and reporter with extensive experience in live network news, emceeing, industrial videos and TV commercials. Sierra Scott currently directs, writes, produces and hosts her own TV show called “It’s ALL Good!” which airs on KSCW Ch.5 Sunday nights at 7:30pm. Sierra has also been a contributing writer for “Women’s Focus Magazine” and has also hosted a weekly radio show on 105.3 the BUZZ.

      She recently completed a one hour documentary on “Darfur” which premiered in Washington, DC.
     Before coming back to Kansas to be near her family, Sierra was the Main Anchor in Tampa, Florida;   Tallahassee, Florida;   Waco, Texas;  and  Joplin, Missouri.
   Sierra was MISS MISSOURI in 1989, and hosted the LIVE statewide broadcast of the 1992 Miss Texas Pageant before 1.2 million viewers. She was also first runner up in the national Ms. American Woman Pageant.
     Sierra serves on the board of directors of the “Wichita Grand Opera”, “Habitat for Humanity”, “Dreams of Youth Foundation”, and “Dress for Success”. She’s a past board member for the “March of Dimes”, The “Independent Living Resource Center”, “Broadcast Media Professionals of Wichita”, “The Lupus Foundation of America” “The American Heart Association”, “ROCKO”, “Save the Nomar Theater” and “The National MS Society”. She’s also been a committee member for the “United Way”, and “The Boys and Girls Clubs of America”.
      Sierra is a member of the “Leadership Kansas” Class of 2008 and the “Leadership Wichita” class of 2009.  Sierra was listed in the 2009 edition of the “Kansas Women of Distinction” and was also chosen a “Woman of the Year” candidate by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She was named “Outstanding Woman of the Year” by the Business and Professional Women, and is listed in “Who’s Who of Professional Woman”.
        Sierra has been featured on a segment of Vicki Lawrence’s national talk show “Vicki!”, was an extra in Robert Duvall’s Movie “The Stars Fell on Henrietta”, and was seen in the movie “Spellbound”. She was also featured TWICE on “Dick Clark’s TV Bloopers, Blunders and Practical Jokes”.
    She’s also been featured on the cover of “Women’s Focus” magazine, and has been seen in articles in the “Wichita Register”, “Splurge Magazine”, “The Wichita Business Journal”, “Business Today”, the “Westside Story”, “Indulge” and the “Wichita Eagle”.
       She has also been seen in television commercials for “Petland”, “Athena Jewelry”, “Peoples Construction” and “Midwest Hearing Aids”.
     During her 17 years in broadcasting she was live on the scene of the “Branch Dividian Stand-off”, the “Oklahoma City Bombing”, and the “Luby’s Massacre”.
        Sierra has won numerous broadcasting awards, including an AP award for “Best  Feature” and 2 awards for “Best Newscast”.
     Sierra’s first love is traveling. In just the past few years she’s spent a “week” in each of 136 cities in 47 states, one Bahamian Island, one European, one African and one Asian country.
    In her spare time, which there isn’t much, Sierra loves to ride her mountain bike, read positive and spiritual books, and spend time with her friends and family.
    Sierra graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.[[Category:]]
