- NZZ Film produces films on the fine arts, photography and design. The following documentaries have been produced since the year 2000: Alberto Giacometti – Eyes on the Horizon, Ettore Sottsass -- The Sense of Things, Ferdinand Hodler -- Das Herz ist mein Auge, Félix Vallotton – Painter against Time, Henri Cartier-Bresson – The Impassioned Eye, Riviera Cocktail – Edward Quinn, Photographer, Nice, and Andreas Walser – The Night Is Brighter Than the Day. These documentary films on art and culture have consolidated the role of NZZ Film as an important Swiss production company. The international success of the film about the Magnum photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson – screened, for example, in movie theatres in Manhattan and in five Japanese cities – has given NZZ Film the impetus to produce further cinema documentaries on photography and on artists with Swiss connections.
