The Corporation
Established in 1988, Emergency Medical Consultants was created to meet the needs of the medical community with an emphasis on emergency care and required continuing education. The corporation was formed by emergency medical service's instructor, consultant, and lecturer, Shaun Fix and is under the medical directorship of emergency physician, Dr. Roger Nicosia. Shaun and Roger have extensive experience in both practicing and instructing emergency medical procedures and continue to work and teach in the field. Our staff consists of Practicing Physicians, Nurses and Paramedics who are certified college level basic and advanced life support instructors. Since our personnel are still active emergency care providers as well as instructors, we are constantly updated in all of the latest advances in equipment and treatment modalities.
The Courses
All classes are designed to meet local and national standards for certification. Along with being a continuing education provider for most Florida boards, we are a regional training center for the American Heart Association, The National Safety Council, and are certified to instruct most nationally recognized continuing education courses. We also offer a variety of dynamic, individualized continuing education seminars and lectures. We are dedicated to quality consulting and training and strive to make participants feel comfortable with using our protocols and medical training rather than merely "being certified."
