Members later decided that the aesthetic component of Plastic Surgery should be included and hence the name ‘Kenya Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons’ and the acronym KSPRAS. The specialty of Plastic Surgery in kenya has been growing at a slow pace over the years but this trend is changing fast as young and enthusiastic surgeons come on board. The introduction of the Master of Medicine in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery course at the University of Nairobi will also provide added impetus.
