- Welcome to Grok Play, the game design blog of Jason Grlicky. I decided to create this site after reading about the concept of a “game journal” in the great book Game Design Workshop, by Tracy Fullerton. Tracy suggests keeping a journal in which you analyze gameplay experiences in order to increase your familiarity with the techniques used to create meaningful play.
