The site contains about 4000 articles and solved problems, mainly covering K12 and undegraduate college topics. About 1000 pages are illustrated by Java and Flash applets makeing it one of more interactive on the web.

The site won numerous awards including from such educational organizations as MERLOT, CAMEL, Mathforum, AAAS, among many others.

The creator of the site, Dr. Alexander Bogomolny, is a former associate professor of mathematics at the University of Iowa, with degrees in mathematics from Moscow State and Hebrew Universities.

It is his conviction that mathematics must be taught for its beauty and intrinsic value and the site is an attempt at conveying this belief to a broad public.
