International Bird Rescue (IBR) operates two year-round California aquatic bird rescue centers. One in Southern California located in San Pedro (Los Angeles Harbor) and another in Northern California in Fairfield (San Francisco Bay). Since 1971, IBR's team of specialists has led oiled bird rescue efforts in over 200 oil spills in more than 12 countries. It has also been proud member of the Oiled Wildlife Care Network (OWCN) since the beginning of this California state spill response agency. IBR also has a operational Anchorage Wildlife Response Center available for oiled wildlife care in case of oil spills in Alaska.
