Country Insurance and Financial services is group of different US insurance and financial assistance companies. Headquarters are in Bloomington, Illinois and the two regional headquarters are located at Arden Hills, Minnesota and Salem Oregon. The company was founded in 1925 some members of the Illinois Agricultural Associations started an organization that provided insurance against fire and lightning. Country was created due to lack of insurance agents and agencies and high prices in the rural parts of the country. In the first years at Country, approximately 385 farmers worked part time in order to provide insurance assistance and services for friends and neighbors.
By 1929 crop, auto, and life insurance were available for customers and for the last 35 years, financial services such as retirement and estate planning, investment management and annuities had also been available. In 80 years of existence Country has grown significantly from a small countryside company providing service for customer just in Illinois to having agents in 14 states (and growing) and offering its services in approximately 40 states. COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services has 3600 employees and around 2000 field agents while insuring more than $1 million vehicles; ½ million homes and offering its services to around 1 million businesses around the United States of America.
In six out of the past seven years, COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services has, ranked No 1 when it came to the lowest ratio of customer complains in Illinois. In addition, Weiss Rating has lately rated the company with an A+ for both life and health business and an A for property and casualty business. COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services has been present in the highest rating class for just about 65 years and received the highest rating for a period longer than 70 years (consecutive).
