Description
Puget Energy is a company with headquarters in Bellevue, Washington, that provides electrical and natural gas and other energy services.
Puget Energy took shape in 1997 when Washington Natural Gas joined forces with the most important non-governmental supplier of electricity in the region, Puget Sound Power & Light, which gave the company its final name. Puget Energy is currently traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol PSD.
The company main objective is to concentrate on services in a regulated environment. The primary goal is to meet the increasing needs and requirements of the customers in the Puget Sound area. The means of operation are energy conservation through cost-efficient means, making use of the traditional and modern energy resources with a reduced impact on the surrounding environment. The company investments are concentrated towards a modern infrastructure for energy delivery that will help PSE deliver future cleaner and more cost efficient energy to a wide range of consumers.
Puget Sound Energy
The main company utility is Puget Sound Energy or PSE, that provides energy services for the developing Puget Sound region in Washington. Puget Sound Energy is the largest and oldest provider of energy operating in the Washington state. More than 700,000 natural gas customers and 1 million electricity customers rely on the services provided by PSE.
Since the main company was founded more than a century ago, drastic changes have altered the face of the region but Puget Energy continued to deliver its services to customers that relied on that tradition.
The service area in which Puget Sound Energy operates is the base for some of the most recognized business in the US. These companies include strong brands like Microsoft, Amazon.com, Starbucks, Costco, or Nordstrom
