Seit 2009 – zunächst in der Trägerschaft der Stadt Bocholt (ab 2011 in Trägerschaft der EWIBO GmbH) ist es in der Europastadt Bocholt. Anfang des Jahres 2013 wählte die Europäische Kommission erneut die Europastadt Bocholt als Standort eines Europe-direct Informationszentrums aus. Bis 2017 können Vereine, Schulen sowie Bürgerinnen und Bürger aus dem Westmünsterland, vom unteren Niederrhein und auch aus dem benachbarten niederländischen Achterhoek mit ihren europäischen Anliegen ins „EDI Bocholt“ kommen.
