Bryn Mawr Chapels, Inc. is a fully registered and licensed New York funeral home located at 23 Lockwood Avenue in Yonkers, New York. Bryn Mawr Chapels, Inc. is a Yonkers New York Funeral Home owned and operated by Peter M. Frisolone, a Funeral Director licensed by the State of New York. In 2005, Mr. Frisolone purchased the building at 23 Lockwood Avenue from the Cuccia Family which previously operated the Funeral Home since the 1950's. After a brief renovation, we began serving families from St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church Parish and our surrounding community of Bryn Mawr which is largely made up of a boundry extending from Palmer Road to the South, Tuckahoe Road to the North, Saw Mill River Road to the West, and Mile Square Road to the East. Bryn Mawr Chapels offers Funeral and Cremation Services to the area with integrity and respect througout. We have two service areas on our main floor, and a small one on the lower level when only a brief "indentification" period is required. We can arrange a service according to your wishes and are knowledgeable in making cemetery arrangements for you if a burial is selected, or explaining your cremation options if that is your choice. We also have the ability to coordinate all religious services either at our location or in the Church or House of Worship you may belong to, again with either a burial or cremation selected by you. Since there are times when someone wishes to return home after their death, we specialize in shipping of the body to distant locations either within the United States, or to destinations in Europe such as Poland and Portugal, or the Carribean including Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Mexico, south of the US Border. The telephones at Bryn Mawr Chapels are answered twenty four hours a day, 7 days a week. We realize the need for service may arise on a Weekend, Holiday, or the Middle of the Night. Our professional answering service with a live operator will contact our Funeral Director on call with your needs at any time of the day. If need be , we will respond personally during non business hours to situations such as a home death, or death at a facility which has no area to temporarily hold a dead human body. We are located near Interstate 87, the New York State Thruway at exit 6, Tuckahoe Road or the Saw Mill River Parkway, Exit 5A Palmer Road.
