Description

WAC Certification: Updated 01-05 The clerical errors to the K-9 WAC have been made and they will posted up on the website shortly. The WAC Canine code requires that every K-9 team must meet the standard set forth by CJTC prior to being deployed on the street. This certification lasts for the life of the team. The WSPCA then provides a separate on-going voluntary accreditation process. The WSPCA standard can be substituted for the WAC standard, but you must still submit the paperwork through CJTC.

Recently there was an unfortunate incident in the state involving a K-9 that was not WAC certified. This is now showing potential to lead to further problems for all handlers in the state. If you are not WAC certified through CJTC, make sure you get this done ASAP. All the necessary paperwork is on our website. If you have any questions, contact me our one of our trainers.

Occasionally there are K-9 training classes and seminars conducted in the state that are not associated with the WSPCA. As part of our objectives, we want to promote this and make sure everyone knows what is available to them. Now, in the upcoming events section you will see that it has been divided into WSPCA sponsored and non-sponsored events. If you have a non-WSPCA event, there is a link for you to submit it to be listed.
