The WSoA was formed in September of 2002, after the demise of the R.T.S. S.A.S. The series is owner/driver controlled and will promote Asphalt Sprint Car Racing throughout Ohio and into neighboring states. Our goal is to keep Sprint Car racing affordable and fun. This, by no means, means uncompetitive. There are cars in this series that hold numerous track records and have even broken track records set by none other than Jeff Gordon while he was driving 410 Sprint Cars in the All-Star series. The series is open to all car owners and drivers who have a desire to compete within the rules which are designed to keep Sprint Car Racing affordable, and most of all, fun.
