Western Regional Fisheries Board : Ireland

Description

About The Western Regional Fisheries Board

The Western Fisheries Region comprises all the inland river systems on Ireland's Atlantic Coast from Pigeon Point near Westport, Co. Mayo, through Co. Galway, to Hags Head just south of the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare. Situated at Europe's westernmost extremity, Ireland is widely regarded as the last unspoiled fishing location in Europe.

Unspoiled in terms of a fresh, clean environment. Unspoiled in terms of a gregarious, friendly race of people and a refreshing absence of commercialism.

Bathed in the warm waters of the North Atlantic Drift (an off shoot of the Gulf Stream) Ireland's Western Fisheries Region is an undiscovered paradise for sea and game anglers. There's coarse angling too.
