- The Women's Sportbike Rally was established in 2006 by two sportbike junkies, Stephani McIntyre of Columbus, Ohio and Kiri Hunter of Cincinnati, Ohio. The two realized in the winter of 2005 (by communicating on the web) that there was something missing in the sportbike community and banned together to create the first ever event, August 25-27, at Fontana Village Resort in North Carolina just down the curvy road from the famed Deals Gap aka "The Dragon."
