Williamsburgh Housing Association is a non-profit making friendly society run by a voluntary management committee who are supported by a professional staff team. As a locally-based housing association, we are concerned with the regeneration of those communities where we are active. Control of the improvement process and the subsequent management and maintenance of the properties rests with local people.
Williamsburgh Housing Association was founded in 1979, initially to co-ordinate the improvement of large numbers of sub-tolerable housing stock within Paisley's East End.
The Association has helped transform this area of Paisley, improving houses and giving new hope to the community. While our twin aims continue to be, the improvement of houses to meet outstanding need and to provide a quality service to our customers, the Associaiton has acknowledged the work that remains to be undertaken throughout the district. As such, the Association has extended its geographical area of operation in order that our expertise be employed to tackle housing need within a wider context. Accordingly, the Association is now not only improving sub-standard housing in Paisley, Johnstone and Renfrew, but building new homes and contributing towards area regeneration in specific locations throughout Renfrewshire.
