The Russian constructivist theater proclailmed the necessity of a synthetic actor a definition that doesn't have any negative or minimalizing meaning if we think that that definition had more to do with the idea of an actor as a perfect device that in case of need could be able to sing, dance, to be a gimnast and an acrobat and that could easily switch from the commedy to the tragedy.
If we adapt that definition to art we could say that Vito Pace is a kind of synthetic artist, who uses in his artistic production/representations different techniques: sculptur, painting, architecture, happening, performance, photography, video and net-art, according to the best fitting feature for the history that takes place. To use the artist words: "depending on the portion of reality that phisically enters the work".
As a revolutionary, his mandatory is not to distroy but to produce. His work is a kind of stylization of a moment or an event that brings up, with every expressive medium, the hidden features, through a message of freedom and strictness started by Dadaism and that has become a fundamental issue of contemporary art.
Art becomes an event and not only an object where casuality and game play an important role. Art as game becomes an important part of our life. It's freedom from every limitation and because of that it's only playing or creating that we are realy free.
Conceptual deconstruction of the reality, autocelebration, interest in the grotesque and uthopia and self irony are in the art of Vito a kind of invitation to reflect and question yourself.
His art is against the immobility of thoughts. It's a provocation agains the so-called common sense, the moral the rules, that create atrophy as each curse created from the intelligentsia.
To use the artists words: "the nothingness" becomes a kind of "philosophy of art's reset or ... paradox of the same art's making".
