Upload a portrait
Uploading a portrait is one step on the road to becoming a CommunityMember. The following instructions should help you upload a portrait of yourself. If you find the instructions confusing, please edit this page to be clearer, or just drop in a note about what you find confusing here so that someone else can improve the page.
- Login
- If you are already logged in at the top of the page you'll see a list of links starting with your username, followed by several links to pages about you, and ending with a "log out" link to the right. If you see the list, you are already logged in and you can move on to the next step (Edit your user page)
- If you aren't logged in the top of each page has a "Join Us!" link to create a new account. Click it and follow the instructions.
- Edit your personal page
- If you are logged in click on the link to your user page at the right of your screen
- Once you arrive at your personal page, you may need to click on the "edit" link to begin editing the page
- In the text of your user page, add an image link like [[Image:YourNamePortrait.jpg]]
- Save your edit
- Upload your portrait
- Click on the red link for the new Image link that you created (the link is red because the image doesn't exist yet)
- Follow the instructions on the upload page to upload a picture of yourself
- Now when you go back to your user page there should be an image of yourself there :-)
Note: If the image displays larger than you would like, you can change the size by adding an argument to the image link like [[Image:YourNamePortrait.jpg|200px]]
