Colchester Zoo is currently working to create the UmPhafa Private Nature Reserve in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. The land purchase is now being finalised for three adjacent cattle farms which will be combined to form a 20,000 Acre private nature park. The park is ideally located in a malaria free area 2 hours from Durban and 3 hours from Johannesburg in an area rich in Zulu history.
