YES I like the idea and wonder if a CommunityMark or an auto discovery function would be a good step in the direction, considering a "head" like image as Fridemar suggests, I rather agree with Angela Beesley and Phil Boswell and we should have Wiki-text-icon.png - this also seems in step with the evolution of the RSS button.Edit-chalk-10bo12.png edit

Hi Mark, I can understand perfectly your concern about a CommunityMark: the European Union had to solve a similar issue with the introduction of the Euro currency. Please have a look at EuroCoins. On top of the page you see the uniform "head" of a UniversalEuroCoin and below a list of the "tail" designs of the coin, bearing the mark of each individual member state. You would make a lot of members of the global wiki community very happy, to say YES to the current "head" design, that later could be completed by an appropriate "tail" as an adjacent picture element, in the liking of the involved member communities. I make this mediation effort, because TedErnst asked me on my homepage of the [MeatballWiki:FridemarPache] to help. Besides that, I make it public on my blog, devoted to SocialCommonWealth, so that this act alone to convincing you, helps at the same time fostering the SocialCommonWealth, which is based on Wikis. It helps synergistically in several ways, but since you are a key player in the world of wikis, it would help in a maximal way, if our mediation effort would help to convince you, i.e. to convert your subtle "NotYet" into a community supported, highly appreciated "YES". -- fridemar

I haven't removed WikiLogoShadow.png WikiLogoPlain.png because I think they may be useful as edit buttons. I did however, also add it to the WikiCommunityMark/Discussion. Thought you might be interested :-)

Yes, I visited the page. The suggestions look great. Considering and appreciating your RadicalInclusiveness idea, I suggest a Pictogram, that overcomes the language barrier. Perhaps even an mp3- WikiFanfare could help to set a special mark for the involved communities.
