The Study Process
The Environmental Review Process for the Tappan Zee Bridge/I-287 Corridor will be carried out in two stages, as outlined below:
This stage will identify and screen a large number of potential alternatives to produce a smaller number of reasonable alternatives that can then be studied in more detail in Stage 2. The specific steps to be undertaken in Stage 1 include:
Prepare the FEIS, and a NEPA Record of Decision (ROD) for issuance by Federal Agencies and a SEQRA Findings Statements for issuance by State Agencies.
