History
TRW found its origins down the history line in 1901 in the Cleveland Cap Screw Company. This firm eventually became Thompson Products. In 15, it merged with Ramo-Wooldridge Corporation and was renamed as Thompson Ramo Wooldridge Inc. Eventually, the name was shortened to TRW Inc in 1965. With the merging of ESL Inc. in 1977, TRW could expand its high technology data communications capability.
During its early stages, the company was actively devoted to the development of missile systems and spacecraft.
