Troutcatchers proprietor, Jonathan Simpson-Lee, avid fly-fisherman and fly-tyer decided to sell a few of his original fly patterns on a leading auction website. That was December 2002. Finding the demand for his flies was too large to cope with as a sideline, Troutcatchers was born and work began creating a company from scratch with very little capital but a sheer determination to make it work. The ethos of Troutcatchers is to provide the highest quality merchandise at realistic prices but with the greatest emphasis being customer care. Sick of large corporations which bully the customer, Troutcatchers aim is to enable the customer to have a voice; if something is wrong, our aim is to correct it to your satisfaction, not just ours.
With a career history as a Graphic Artist, Jonathan’s keen eye for detail and quality is paramount to the selection of the very best flies, tackle, clothing and fly tying materials.
