Title
Treetop Timbers, Custom Rustic and Fine Furnishings
Description
The first thoughts of Treetop Timbers started to brew in the fall of 2003. Prior to that time, woodworking had been an enjoyable hobby done after work in the evenings and weekends. Most projects would serve as gifts and presents for family with a few undertakings being commissioned by others who happened to see the final products. As my time spent in the shop increased so did my enthusiasm, and as my enthusiasm increased so did my desire to create a product uncompromised in quality and in aesthetic appearance. I started to think not of, "What can I build after work?" but "How can building become my work?" Ultimately, this was my desire: To build furniture as a career.
It would be nice if the transition time from vision to reality was instantaneous, but often that is not the case and Treetop Timbers was no different. After teaching 4th grade in Billings, MT for one year, my wife and I moved to Alaska where we taught school in remote village for two years. We tucked some of the money away to purchase necessary tools and other start up expenses that we would incur as we started this business. We feel richly blessed that the Lord has allowed us the resources to start this business and it is our prayer that He would be glorified in every aspect of this business. That is the reason for our logo. It is no mistake that the inside of the tree looks like a cross. It has been our practice to put that image on whatever comes out of our shop. Praise be to God who sent His son as an. atoning sacrifice for our sins.
The time has come to get after it! The tools are set up and the wood is dry. The completion of this web page Is, in a sense, a kick off for Treetop Timbers. We have planned, prepared and the doors have been opened. Starting in the fall of 2005, we will be committing 100% of the work-week (and more) to Treetop Timbers. So please, look around this website and see what we have to offer. It is our hopes that you might find something here that you want to make a part of your home, or triggers an idea that you might have for something we could make for you. Thank you for taking the time to browse this website. Feel tree to contact us via phone, email, letter, or carrier pigeon.
