The Coca Cola Company is the largest producer of carbonated soft drinks in the world and has 55,000 employees worldwide and Coca Cola is one of the most post popular soft drink brands. History

Founded in 1888 by Asa Briggs, the Coca Cola company produces about 400 brands of drinks in more that 200 countries and is one of the largest companies in the U.S and the world. It now traditionally produces the Coca Cola concentrate and sells to bottlers and subsidiaries. During WWII Coca Cola offered free cokes to soldiers who developed a taste for the drink that helped launch its popularity. The company has had is share of criticisms over the years especially allegation of labor violations in less developed countries and possible interactions with Nazi’s during WWII.

Due the popularity of Pepsi Cola in taste tests, Coca Cola experimented with changing the taste of Coca Cola Classic in the 1985 and successfully transitioned to New Coke. However, shortly after the general public learned of the change there was widespread criticism of the move forcing the company to revert back to the original formula. New Coke later became know as Coke II and is now only available in limited markets.
