- In early 2000, Lee Daly and Elizabeth Newuman, sat down to brainstorm. The two mothers were tired of the lack of information available to them about Cerebral Cavernous Malformations (CCM), and not only did they need answers, but they wanted to help provide them. They took matters into their own hands by starting THE BRAINPOWER PROJECT. THE BRAINPOWER PROJECT, is just that a project. It is designed to exist until the cure is found, and then that project will terminate. The plan to continue providing support will still be there, but they will consider their main objective accomplished.
