- After earning a degree in Apparel Merchandising from Auburn University, Amber Mordic began working in the fashion worlds of New York and Atlanta. In 2005 she moved back to her hometown, Columbus, GA, to open the Blue Door, a contemporary ladies clothing boutique. Named after its towering antique Parisian doors, The Blue Door has quickly become a must see for those with an eye for style. And the best part? everything is at (gasp!) customer-friendly prices! Brands include: French Connection, Sweetees, Karlie, James Jeans, iT!, Molly, Envi, and Tulle, just to name a very few. At The Blue Door, we are on a constant search for the latest trends and newest designers to ensure that our custom-designed racks and antique display tables are always packed full of "to-die-for" and "just gotta-have it" items.
