Description
John Edwards is a native of Abercynon, South Wales. He worked as a teacher and head-teacher in four schools in and around Bristol until taking up an appointment as 'County Inspector of Schools' in Flintshire and Clwyd, North Wales. He returned home to work as 'County Advisor for Spoken English' for what was then, Mid-Glamorgan.
On his retirement, he was made a 'Fellow of the English Speaking Board' for 'Services to Spoken English - an award much appreciated by a Welsh speaking Welshman!
He is an occasional broadcaster, a regular after dinner speaker, an educational consultant, and enthusiastic raiser of monies for "worthy causes".
