- Created in March 1997 in the San Francisco Bay Are, the Swiss-List is an informal group of young Swiss scientists and businesses professional living in the US [Swiss not as in "Swiss Citizen" but individuals who have a close tie to Switzerland, like a higher education degree or a professional experience in Switzerland]. It now includes over 400 members working in academic, government and corporate research centers, as well as people involved in small "start-up" high-technology companies. The Swiss-List is a non-profit organization with unrestricted membership.
