Description
After being diagnosed at the age of 26 with malignant melanoma, a potentially life-threatening form of skin cancer, I was determined to live a normal life and enjoy the outdoor activities that many people take for granted. But even though I wore long-sleeved shirts and 15 SPF sunscreen as advised, I sunburned through my shirts and tanned through my sunscreen. Frustrated, I set out to create a new head-to-toe protection solution built on medical research and the involvement of leading medical experts.
The result is Sun Precautions and its proprietary line of sun protective clothing called Solumbra that meets published medical guidelines.
