Description
. We respond to structure fires (homes, businesses, industrial sites), automobile fires, brush & forest fires, and control burns. We also respond to calls for auto accidents, rescue emergencies, and other situations where life or property may be in danger.
Within the Patrick County Emergency Services organization, we are Company 26. We are also a member of the Virginia Department of Fire Programs. The VDFP provides our certified training courses, and keeps track of our emergency responses throughout the year.
Our department is an all-volunteer organization. This means none of our members are paid for their service. We currently have 30 members from all walks of life. From grocery store managers and lawyers, to factory workers, businessmen, and policemen...we all volunteer our time to protect the lives and property of local residents and businesses.
