- South Slope Bounce is the multicultural style of music Grant Matthew Smith -- electric bassist/producer/sound designer -- is developing with fellow musicians converging on Brooklyn from such eclectic places as Malawi, Brasil and Ohio. Currently performing and touring with South African Jazz band Mahala, Spoken-word/Hip-Hop ensemble Second2Last, and Ambient Drum and Bass group Suisse Modular, and designing sound for the Vigilante Artists, Grant draws in these influences and presents them in a new, unique form of his own.
