Secret Forest Game Hunts - Hayti, South Dakota Hunting Preserve
Description
The Shelsta Farm is located 22 miles south of Watertown and 2 miles south and 1/2 east of Hayti, South Dakota. After decades of excellent hunting we chose to offer a Hunting Preserve to all sportspersons, male and female. Primaily we offer Pheasant and Quail hunts from Sept. 1 through March 31 on our preserve. An additional 1200 plus acres is offered during regular state season for field gopher, duck, goose, deer and pheasant. Secret Forest Game Hunts is a culmination of excellent guides, natural habitat, all sizes of food plots, and well conditioned birds both raised and wild. The 960 acres are divided by a slough with many oxbows that keep water flowing between Hayti and Lake Norden. We offer guided and unguided hunts for male and female hunters. Hunting parties will always hunt together at their own pace. A variety of sporting vehicles are available for transport to the fields. We at Secret Forest Game Hunts want to provide a special safe and memorable hunt, thus our theme "Quality Hunts for Quality People".
Many of our 26 food plots are next to sloughs, pastures, and cropland. Food plots are 1 to 5 acres and consist of Corn, Millet, Grain Sorghum, Big Blue Stem, Reeds Canary Grass, Orchard Grass, Timothy, Crested Wheat Grass, German Millet and Shelter Belts.
