RowyNet is founded and maintained by Jo-Anne Steenbeeke - web developer - and Rowy van Hest - a music composer. It's main purpose is to collect known, but preferably unknown music scores for solo that can be played without accompaniment. Downloads are free and there are no restrictions.
Although RowyNet uses antiques scores to built the library, a great deal of the collection consists of editions, transcriptions and compositions made by Rowy. The more than 1.600 scores of Rowynet are therefore not in the public domain.
The site is multilingual. Supported languages are English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Chinese. Turkish will be added soon.
RowyNet's music glossary is a list of mostly Italian musical terms explained in English, German, French and Dutch. At the moment the database has 1.200 records.
The link page is well organized and international orientated. All links point to sites that carry (mostly) free sheet music. Links can be added on request, but only if the site has a large or special collection of sheet music. Reciprocal links are not required.
