John and Carol have been involved in Christian ministry for over 28 years, during which time they have served in Pasturing, Bible Teaching, Short Term Missions & Evangelism. There ministry involvement is now: Itinerate preaching and teaching focusing on a renewed revival vision for Canadian church . They presently live in Nanaimo, B.C. Canada. Their passion is for revival in the Body of Christ in Canada, seeing God's people mature in Christ-likeness, experiencing "The Jesus Life more fully and living with a "first love passion for Christ. They also have a great desire to see lost souls come to Jesus in repentance of sin and true passionate love and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
We've chosen to name our Web Site, Revival Canada because it most accurately represents the burden, vision and dream that we understand has been placed in our hearts by the Lord. Though recently rekindled, this vision is not new to us. Revival for Canada was first placed in my heart shortly after my conversion to Christ in 1975. It's not at all uncommon to receive, "God birthed" vision, and like Revival Canada they're totally impossible! The revival we seek will not be the result of great preaching and teaching (though important) or some specially held meetings with a revival emphasis! For the the Body of Christ in Canada to turn away lukewarmness will require the convicting power of the Holy Spirit combined with a lavish release of God's great grace. Only then will our spiritual eyes be opened to our present spiritually weakened state as we see clearly God's spiritual potential for our lives both individually and corporately as the Body of Christ. Rees Howells, the late Welsh revivalist, is quoted as saying. "Unless there is a conviction of need there can never be a desire for change." Man can bring condemnation only God can bring needed deep heart conviction!
We strongly believe in the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ and as that day approaches we can be encouraged that God will send out His Holy Spirit empowered Word to prepare the Bride to meet the Groom. Jesus deserves a virgin Bride, one who is passionately in love with Him. That passion is demonstrated through submissive "love obedience" to the Word of God. That passion is manifest through consecrated holy living that is energized not through legalism but through the power of the indwelling Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.
