Refuter paints at night and when boredom gets the best of him. He likes to experiment with shades and shapes. His works are mostly happy, but some could be quite dramatic and dark. Currently, Refuter paints expressive patterns on large canvases and wooden boards and works mostly with oils. He tries to leave his works some what unfinished, and asks the viewer to complete the work visually in her/his mind. The paintings are about contrasts, dimensionality and consciousness.
