Why? Why do I blog? Why would I follow and write about developments in the dry topic of intellectual property law and policy coming from all corners of the globe?
It's simple, really. Passion. At it's core, Promote the Progress is about passion....my passion. In fact, it's about several of my passions; my enthusiasms, as DeNiro would say.
The blog is a beloved project of mine that allows me to pursue several of my passions at once. I am passionate about intellectual property law, computers, technology, and writing. Each of these subjects, independently, has occupied a portion of my life for many years, but I never had a singular activity that allowed me to touch all of them before I started the blog. Promote the Progress provides that activity. It gives me an outlet that allows me to focus on most of my passions at the same time (I haven't figured out a way to work football into the mix yet...)
