I was born into a Buddhist family. My grandfather gave me the Chinese name Lie Wie Liong or Li Wei Long, meaning the Noble or Grand Dragon 李伟龙. Some of you might know that the famous Kung Fu fighter, Bruce Lee has a Chinese name Li Xiao Long 李小龙 which literally means the Little Dragon.

Montserrat Dreams, dreams, dreams

I specialize in photography for travel, hospitality and tourism.

When I started my business seven years ago, I decided to go by elimination way. I tried taking photographs in fashion, furniture stores for taking photographs for their catalogues.Construction sites, Sports, and special events. Concerts and during the movies production. Kids and families. Once I saw a T-shirt on my friend with the map advertising Caribbean island Montserrat. I got great desire to visit this place. For the first time I thought that this is not possible. , but my wife as usual believe in me and believes that whatever I do it’s possible. We contacted Montserrat tourist board for more information and possibilities to come and do some photo work there. In a half a year my dream comes truth, my wife and me, and our family friend got tickets . I signed contract delivering images covering events during the two weeks of Christmas festivities.

Tropical weather, hikes through lavish green rainforest, swimming in wam Caribbean waters, makes me feel I’m not in reality.

During the assignment I had many extreme adventures, from loosing my sandal on the shore and hiking with one shoe half of the day, falling into salt waters of Caribbean sea with my digital equipment., photographing models or the postcard on secluded beach. All of that made me fall in love with this tiny island., that after fourth visit I started to dream to have my own book about the island. ,deciding that I have enough material to publish a book. Creation a book is like a pregnancy, takes at least nine months and goes throught the great pain, and feeling of great release when you see your first copy of the book on your desk. Since then my images were being published in postcards, posters, brochures and magazines. I received an award as a Travel photographer of the year 2004 from Caribbean tourism organization for my great success with the book and other publications throughout the year.
