The Poetry Society exists to help poets and poetry thrive in Britain today. Established in 1909, and now one of Britain's most dynamic arts organisations, the Poetry Society is a membership organisation open to all.
Vice Presidents include Simon Armitage, Gwyneth Lewis, Michael Longley, Roger McGough, Ian McMillan, Adrian Mitchell, Sean O'Brien, Don Paterson, Anne Stevenson, Hugo Williams and Benjamin Zephaniah.
We produce a range of excellent publications, including Britain's leading poetry magazine, Poetry Review, which provides a forum for poems from both new and established poets and Poetry News, which has interviews with poets and is packed with information about events, competitions, festivals and the poetry scene in general.
