Placebase was founded by Jaron Waldman in 2001 with a mission to design, develop, and implement the web’s best geographic applications. We build repositories of demographic and statistical data that are accessed and manipulated through web-based tools for online publishing and editing. We are focused on building intuitive interfaces for use by non-technical individuals.
Placebase has deep expertise in various application development frameworks, programming languages, databases, and geospatial platforms, including Java, Perl, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, UMN Mapserver, PostGIS, and many others.
