- For over 50 years the Piper Inn has been a friendly neighborhood bar. The Piper Inn opened during a time when rural farmers from the now Denver and Aurora area rode their horses to the bar. The hitching post was located near what is now the carwash and a dirt airstrip was across the way; hence the name Piper Inn.
